Our visit with Ellie and Brian in October was great... we were all over the place and often with a picnic and wine in tow!
We went through wine country and up the mountain to where I work. We went up another much more well-known mountain… the Matterhorn! Another day we took the ferry boat across the lake to Yvoire, France and poked around there for the afternoon then jumped back on the ferry and went to Geneva. We spent half a day at the hotsprings soaking in the pools; spent a day in Zurich and enjoyed our picnic on a ferry-boat on the lake. One day we sent them off to Gruyere to enjoy the medieval town and castle, and of course they went to see Ken at work as well. It was fun. The weather stayed in the mid-to high 20's while they were here, which was great.
Once they left - the temps went to 12-18 by day and 7-10 at night... which is more normal.
