Well, the first weekend of Aug. Ken and I had a wonderful weekend in Como, Italy to celebrate our first wedding anniversary.
Then we focused on work… one evening we had a BBQ and a quick dip at the lake and then… on the 18th … we found out that we got a new apartment… and our moving day was only 10 days away!
We were excited about the change, and spent the next several evenings packing and then moving. Thankfully, we had help from two friends - Ken’s ex-colleagues.
Our new place is great. The apt is on the 8th floor and we have a view of the lake and the French Alps from the kitchen and living room. The bedrooms on the back look out over the vineyards and fruit orchards to the hills beyond. We also have a covered balcony which is like an extra room. There are two extra bedrooms – we set up one as a guest room and we put the TV and my desk in there. The smaller room is Ken’s study and it also has a couch/bed for guests.
We have settled in and are ready for visitors, so call now to reserve your spot! Actually, on Monday we will receive our first guests. Ken’s Mom and her husband are coming to see us - and visit Switzerland.
