It doesn't get much better than a sunny, warm (20degrees!) day spent in a village celebrating the wine harvest by opening all the 'caveau' (wine cellars) to visitors. The village of Chardonne is perched on the hillside above Vevey (home of Nestle and home to Charlie Chaplin in his last years).
Some lovely wines although Swiss wines tend to be simple and best for the table.
It's the place and the vibe that make the day wonderful.
